All narrative are based around moving from one equilibrium to another equilibrium. There are constant disequilibriums that cause conflict throughout the narrative.

Humans is conventional to the narrative theory.

Diametric Opposition- Is the same as binary opposition.

Hannah Hoch- 1919-20 The beautiful women

• Women are like cars they are viewed to have 1 function to men.
• Men call cars 'she'.
• Men flash cars and flash women.
• This poster says women are mechanical and can be controlled like a car.

Metropolis- Lang 1927.

• Automata appears female.
• Suggests women can be replaced by robots.
• Sexualises women.
• Suggests women should be slaves.

Blade Runner- Scott 1982.

• Female is dressed in a fetishistic way.
• She is programmed to be a prostitute.
