High engagement = addiction.
Youtube aims for high engagement viewers.
Youtube regulates youtube as they are a private company.
Youtube is such a big company it would be very difficult to sue.

- omo was a hoax/urban legend stating that Momo creature will text your kids threatening them to kill themselves.
- The article anchors the audience to believe that Whatsapp is dangerous.
- The police states that they receive more calls from newspapers than concerned parents.
- The newspapers done this for money and to increase readership.
- This story became so effective as Momo targeted kids.
- The real "Momo" is parents guilt of letting their kids access media and influence their lives negatively- something in the media will get them.
Zoella thumbnails and A.I.
- Her videos are clickbait.
- She uses generalised terms that means her videos will appear in a lot of searches.
- Combining titles are more likely to be featured in searches meaning her videos will more likely be watched.
- She uses brands such as Asos in titles which is a popular brand meaning it increases audience engagement.
- Zoella is trying to appeal to an Algorithm.
- Machine learning- Memorises patterns and figures out the pattern which is most effective.
- A.I that can beat people at chess and the Japanese game GO.
